Spurred on by this post, I found another one of these nifty little maps. They really go a long way to show how people think…or how people assume people think. Perhaps very prejudiced either way, but still hysterical. 
I found another based on Swedish perceptions of Europe which I’ll post later.

I don’t want to be rude, but the american one is so true.
I agree that with the posters who liked the American one better, but there is some truth to the Texan map. Texans don’t see too far beyond their own horizon. Texas started out as an independent republic and in some ways never lost that mind set. Anything imposed on them from “The Feds” is seem as undesirable meddling in their affairs. Consider this quote from John Steinbeck: “Texas is a state of mind. Texas is an obsession. Above all, Texas is a nation in every sense of the word.”
