The new automatic blogging craze

So there seems to be a new craze in automatic blogging upon us.  I’ve seen at least two courses come out in recent weeks that take a look at automatic blogging. Let me just say one thing…in reality, there’s nothing new about it.  When Caffeinated Content was originally released back in the summer of ’07, it was the first tool of it’s kind, predated by the likes of RSS2Blog and BloggerGenerator–both awesome tools for their time.  Caffeinated Content was the first that could actually get an automagically updating blog out there with relevant content, quickly, easily and cheaply.

So fast forward to 2010, site content still is the number one thing driving traffic (some will argue that it’s not the content, it’s the links, but that’s a discussion for another day…besides, CC does links too), fresh-looking blogs are still where it’s at.

Anyway, I’ve kind of lost track of where I was heading with this blog post, but the gist of things is that no matter what Google does, the simple fact remains that the tried and true methods pioneered years ago continue to work to this very day.  Some times things require a bit of tweaking, but the general methods behind the madness are still there.

  2. I know you say it’s an argument for another day but I’m here so I’ll chuck my opinion into the ring. It’s links that bring traffic content that keeps them long enough to pay you back.

  3. Yeah, site content on its own probably would not suffice.

  4. Well, the key I think is the right mix of linking and content. Purely one cannot get you very far, only the right combination can get the best result.
I’d be glad to know your viewpoint on this.

  5. I just entered the world of autoblogging this year and am still learning a lot about it. Wish I would have known about you in 2007! Looking forward to enjoying more of your posts.

  6. Content is the king and backlinks are the queen of any site.

Content still matters for Google. Contents should be unique.

  8. Well for me just do linkbuilding in a random manner do not rely on a single pattern or scheme of building links, that’s why it’s important to know how to get links in a different ways such as social bookmarking, blog commenting, link wheel and other techniques as it shows link diversity and also don’t forget to do on-page optimization.
